The Weyl Prize for 2010 has been awarded to Dr. G. Chiribella, in recognition of his pioneering work on the application of group theoretical methods to the problem of quantum estimation, within the framework of Quantum Information Theory.
19th May 2010: The 2010 Wigner Medal has been awarded to Michio Jimbo for his introduction of quantum groups and his study of affine Lie algebras, in connection with classical and quantum integrable systems. The award ceremony will take place in Newcastle on 27 July and Prof. Jimbo will give a plenary talk.
